| Baby Orphanage
St Petersburg, Russia
a renewed partnership from 6 years ago... In 2003, Sunergos brought a team to work with little children who are HIV positive. Now, 6 years later, we have connected with this special place once again!
The little babies we held in our arms, are going to school now! All grown up and healthy! Can you imagine a mother leaving her child in a dumpster to die... because she is certain that her child is HIV positive... since she has AIDS...
These little babes are abandoned to die or if found to be placed in an orphanage to have a very secluded life. To be an outcast in the society... never accepted.
Russia has one of the fastest growing AIDS epidemics in the world, with 100 new infections every day. Increasingly, women and their infants are being infected. Latest figures show 22,000 babies have been born to HIV-positive women.
This Baby Orphanage is a little haven for these special and beautiful children! As you walk in the door, you sense the love of the staff towards the children.
Sunergos brings international teams to work with these little ones, to love them and accept them and to give them a brighter tomorrow.

Baby Orphanages around the city... "As I walked into a state-run baby orphanage, I was horrified! Babies were wrapped in old cloth, instead of fresh diapers. They have laid there for hours, some the whole day, developing severe rashes, which are torture for a little infant..."
Government provides only 1 diaper a day for each child! A baby needs 5-8 diapers per day, not just one.
We cannot stay indifferent, so we have started a drive to collect diapers.
We need your help!
