Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year!
Greetings!
Hopefully
this letter finds you and your family well and excited for the celebration of
Christmas! We wanted to send you an
update on how our family is doing as we serve the fatherless and the poor in
Russia. Currently, we are back in Seattle for the winter, fundraising,
recruiting and reconnecting with friends and family. The past nine years, as we
have been serving with SunErgos International, have been a blessing to our
family. God is showing us His unconditional love, grace and mercy through the
children we work with in Russia.
The
past few summers our ministry has grown and now we host six teams each summer! An
increase in work for us and more opportunities for new ministry locations in Saint
Petersburg and Velikiy Novgorod. Some of the kids we work with are street
children and orphans, children who are infected with Tuberculosis and/or HIV,
and teens who are physically or mentally challenged. We have been blessed
through their hugs, smiles and changed lives!
As
a family, we are doing well. Our daughter, Liana, will be four years old in
February! How time flies! We remember the day when she was born like it was
just yesterday. She has been such joy for us as she is at the stage of asking
“why?” for anything we tell her. Wants to know the reason for everything, which
is a challenge sometimes to explain to a three year old. Seeing life through
her eyes has really taught us to enjoy the small things in life and not take
anything for granted.
We
are thankful for you in our lives. For your prayers, support and friendship. We
are blessed to have friends and family in our lives who pray for our family and
our ministry in Russia.
May
God bless you as you continue to bless others around you. Have a wonderful Christmas, as you celebrate
the greatest gift given to us! Jesus Christ, our Savior!
Merry
Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!
Serving in Russia,
Tatiana,
Michael & Liana Mendakov
